What happens in 15 minutes

The intro call is not an intake. No forms, no story you have to prepare. You join via Zoom, your therapist is there, and you simply talk.

The first minutes are listening. How much you sleep on a good night. What happens on a bad one. How long it has been going on. No questionnaire, just real questions about what you tell.

After that your therapist explains how sleep exercise therapy works for complaints like yours. Which of the seven domains likely apply to you, how many weeks the programme takes, and honestly: whether she thinks it fits you. Sometimes a different path is better, and she will say so.

If you both decide to continue, you book an intake and then sessions. If you would rather think about it, that is fine. You do not have to decide during the intro call.

You do not need a Zoom account. A few minutes before the call you receive an email with the link, which opens directly.

No preparation needed. You do not have to track your sleep first or take any tests. That comes later, if you decide to continue.

Reimbursement and costs

The intro call is free, no strings attached. Really nothing, even if you decide afterwards not to continue.

For the full track (intake plus 6 to 8 sessions) reimbursement depends on your health insurance. Many Dutch insurers cover sleep exercise therapy under exercise therapy or physiotherapy in the supplementary package, no GP referral needed. On the reimbursement page you find what applies per insurer.

No coverage via your insurance? A private rate is possible. Deborah discusses this honestly during the intro call, before you decide anything.

Frequently asked questions

Will I get advice during the intro call?

Sometimes. If your situation is clear and your therapist sees a clear path, she shares that. But 15 minutes is short, and the intro is mainly to check whether the track fits you.

What if I am too nervous to introduce myself?

You do not have to. The therapist leads the conversation. You can be silent, ask questions, or jump straight to what is bothering you. There is no right way.

Can I cancel the intro call?

Yes, up to one hour before via the link in your confirmation email. After that, an email also works. No costs.

What if I suspect it is something other than insomnia?

Discuss it. Deborah recognises symptoms of sleep apnea, periodic limb movement (PLMS) and other sleep disorders that need a doctor's diagnosis. She will refer you on.

What if I cannot open the Zoom link?

Call the number in your confirmation email and we do the intro by phone instead. Sometimes that even works better.
